Personal biography
Diya Anthikat holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology and a Master’s in Social Work with a specialization in Criminology and Justice from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai.
She has worked as an Advocacy Ambassador with Project CACA (Children Against Child Abuse), where she contributed to awareness and support initiatives addressing child abuse. She is also the author of research papers highlighting the issues of bullying in educational and workplace settings, Elder abuse and Government support systems, Struggles of the widow population in Urban slums, a community-based study on Perceptions of Gender Roles and Gender-Based Violence Among Youth and a secondary study on Human Trafficking during the Russian-Ukraine war.
Diya brings hands-on experience working with marginalized and vulnerable populations, including financially disadvantaged communities, women in commercial sex work, and individuals facing social, emotional, and systemic challenges. Currently, she serves as a Social Worker and is part of the administrative team at BSmile. She believes that sustainable change begins with mental well-being, strengthened through empathy, community and accessible support systems.
